Abstract

This Directive has been adopted to lay down particular amendments to Directive 95/2/EC in matter of food additives other than colours and sweeteners. Article 1(1), which defines the application scope, shall be replaced by the following: “1. This Directive is a specific Directive forming a part of the comprehensive Directive, within the meaning of Article 3 of Directive 89/107/EEC, and applies to additives other than colours and sweeteners. It does not apply to enzymes other than those mentioned in the Annexes”. Moreover, the tables of the Annexes shall be amended in accordance with the provisions contained in the Annex to this Directive.
