Firstly it supplements article 2 by including the definition of live attenuated vaccines. Secondly it replaces article 5, which concerns the conditions under which the competent authorities of Member States may decide to allow the use of vaccines against bluetongue. Further provisions concern the use of vaccination in surveillance zones.
