The Fund may provide loans for purposes including: the development, purchase, maintenance and improvement of lands; the discharge of liabilities incurred in respect of the development, maintenance and improvement of lands; the purchase of supplies including fertilizer, machinery required for cultivation; and the purchase of livestock. The loan may be secured on the charge of movable property including property purchased with the loan but also, in certain circumstances, interest in land registrable under the Registration of Titles Act may be used as surety for a loan.
