Abstract This Act sets forth provisions on the establishment, composition and duties of the Designated Processing Areas Committee to facilitate trade and stimulate sustainable economic development, productivity, investment, employment, and production according to national standards. A company approved by the Designated Processing Areas Committee shall ensure compliance with all sanitary and phytosanitary requirements under the Belize Agricultural Health Authority Act, as well as environmental laws. The Supplies Control Act shall not apply to a Designated Processing Area in relation to the importation of raw materials for the production of goods and services that are not for sale in Belize.
