This Order takes effect immediately and supersedes all orders inconsistent herewith.
Abstract

The Climate Change Office (CCO) was established further to Climate Change Act 2009 requirements to oversee the establishment and maintenance of a climate change information management system and network, including on climate change risks, activities and investments, in collaboration with other concerned national government agencies and institutions. According to this Order, additional climate change mandates are verified that include integrated ecosystem-based management and water governance and management, coordination and harmonisation among departments and other government instrumentalities for national development goals and objectives, as disaggregated into annual performance targets, following national budget memorandum, operations regarding Clean Development Mechanism and actions for developing climate and science-based and disaster-resilient ecosystems. This Order consists of 8 Sections referring to Rational and objectives (1); Creation of a climate change services (CCS) in the DENR (2); Functions and responsibilities of the Climate Change Services (3); Organisational structure and staffing of the Climate Change Service (4); Funding (5); Climate change focal persons in DENR offices (6); Transition arrangements (7); Effectivity.
