This Order shall apply to all stages of on-shore and off-shore mining operations. The text provides guiding principles that shall be promoted in the enhancement of biodiversity conservation in mining operations such as connectivity, precautionary principles, sustainable use of natural resources and participation of stakeholders. The text further lays out measures for enhancing biodiversity conservation and protection in mining operations, guidelines for biodiversity conservation in small-scale mining and integration of biodiversity conservation and protection in the social development and management program. Other parts of the Order include provisions for capacity building program, monitoring, evaluation and reporting and transitory provision. The text consists of 17 Sections. Full text English
