Abstract This Act provides for preservation of agricultural cattle in the state of Delhi. Section 4 prohibits any person from slaughtering any agricultural cattle including cows, calves of cows, bulls and bullocks. Section 5 prohibits transport or export of agricultural cattle out the state, for slaughtering and requires a permit to export such cattle for any other purpose. Sections 8 & 9 prohibit possession of flesh of any agricultural cattle slaughtered in contravention of the provisions of the Act including cattle slaughtered outside the state. Section 11 states that the competent authority shall have power the to enter and inspect any premises for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of the Act. Sections 12 & 13 lay down the penalties for contraventions of the provisions of the Act.
