Abstract

This Decree, consisting of 5 Chapters, establishes the re-organization of the State Council of Environment (CEMAm) within the State of Goiás. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Council, created by Law No. 12.603, as an integrated organ of the Secretariat of Environment and Water Resources, by Law No. 13.456, and by Law No. 14.247. This Council aims at deliberating about regulations and technical norms, patterns and specific operational measures, in order to preserve and protect the environment and its resources, through the implementation and management of the State System of Protected Areas. The Decree is divided as follows: Preliminary provisions (Chap. I); Objectives and competence (Chap. II); Composition (Chap. III); Structure and competencies (Chap. IV); Final provisions (Chap. V).
