Abstract This Decree applies to Norwegian and foreign vessels of any type which fish for commercial purposes including vessels which provide assistance to the fisheries fleet and exploration vessels and vessels used for experimental fishing. Fishing for red fish is prohibited in the territorial waters and inner waters of Svalbard. However, red fish may form part up to a maximum of 25 percent of single catches or landed catch of other fish species as bycatch.
