Abstract This Decree of the Ministry of Environment places restrictions on the trade in and use of substances which prevent the growth of micro organisms of plants and animals in marine or freshwater and which contain organotine. In doing so it implements Council Directive 89/677/EC which forms part of Chapter XV of Annex II of the Agreement establishing a European Economic Area. Substances which contain organotine may be used for vessels of length of 25 metres or more. Production of or trade in substances which contain organotine shall be done only with a permit of the State Pollution Control Agency.
