Abstract

This Decree applies to the bivalve mollusc fishing with devices other than trawling equipment. Under Article 2, consortia for bivalve mollusc fishing are established. The consortia will determine fishing hours, closing season and maximum allowable catch quotas for bivalve molluscs. Fishing is allowed in the period between 15 March and 30 June. The consortia shall also determine, between April and October, the closing season for fishing of clams and other species. Fishing of bivalve molluscs with drag net is allowed only in deep sea waters. The Annexes concern the type of vessels and fishing gear to be used. (14 Articles and 4 Annexes)
