Abstract This Decree of the Environment Department regulates the fishing for anadromous salmon in inland waters. Only certain specified gear may be used in seasons to be established by the Directorate of Nature Conservation. Different gear is specified for fishing in lakes and for fishing in watercourses. In waters forming the border of Norway fishing shall be regulated by Agreement with the neighbouring state (sect. 2). Minimum size of anadromous salmon shall be 35 centimetres. In Troms, Nordland, and Finnmark sea trout and char may be 30 centimetres. The Directorate of Nature Conservation may specify the shape and measures of gear (sect. 5).
