Enters into force on 1 March, 1999.
Abstract

The Decree applies to all importation of living cattle, embryos of animals of the bovine species, meat and various products of bovine origin from Portugal. It does not apply to importation from the Azores. It is forbidden to import from Portugal, cattle, embryos, bone meal, and some other products of mammals, and feed or fertilizer that contains such substances. Until 1 February 2000 it will be forbidden to import meat and other products made from bovine animals slaughtered in Portugal. (8 sections)
