Abstract This Regulation concerns the handling, processing, classification, packing, transport, storage, conservation, importation and sale of fish and fish products intended for human consumption. In respect of these matters, regard shall also be had to provisions of the Fisheries Act (286/82) and the Public Health Act (sect. 1). Sections 3 to 14 provide, inter alia, for: handling of fish during catch (sect. 3); cleaning of fish (sect. 4); cold storage (sects. 5 and 6); the quality of fish (sect. 7); the classification of fish in accordance with directions of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (sect. 9), the packing of fish (sect. 10); and the indication of the country of origin of fish (sect. 12).
