Entry into force notes

This Decree enters into force on the day when the treaty on accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union comes into force.

Abstract

This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, which is composed of 31 articles, establishes, in accordance with the legislation of the European Community: (a) place and method of implementation of border veterinary checks on animals imported from countries which are not member states of the European Union; (b) assistance to importers and their agents, provided by the authorities of border veterinary checks; (c) quarantine of animals imported from third countries and the conditions for approval of a quarantine center (d) details on measures taken by the authorities of border veterinary checks in case the import conditions are not satisfied; (e) the scope and other details on information which the border veterinary checks communicate via remote data transmission; (f) details on the authorization of transit of animals from third countries. This Decree does not apply to the importation and transit of sperm, egg cells and embryos from third countries.
