Abstract This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, which is composed of 39 articles, establishes: (a) veterinary requirements for animal products; (b) veterinary and sanitary requirements for special treatment and the use of animal products intended for human consumption, coming from a territory or part of the territory being the subject to restrictive measures, and food of animal origin, edible after specific treatment or further processing, and labeling of meat coming from such territory; (c) veterinary requirements for places of collection; (d) veterinary and sanitary rules for the sale of animals in markets and marketplaces, for seasonal sale of fish on a separate point of sale, and for slaughter, evisceration and other processing of fish if these activities are part of the sale; (e) veterinary, sanitary and technical requirements for the marketplace and a market where animals are sold, and their layout and equipment; (f) animals which can be sold in markets and marketplaces; (g) the period within which one can apply for a veterinary certificate for the transport of animal products, the terms and period of validity of the certificate, how and on what basis this certificate is issued; (h) detailed rules for the direct supply of small quantities of meat of poultry and rabbits slaughtered for the final consumer or to local retail stores which supply meat to the final consumers as fresh meat; (i) details on the labeling of animal products on the basis of their veterinary examinations and veterinary conditions of their release into circulation; (j) details on the request for approval and registration; (k) requirements for operating and sanitation procedure; (l) the procedure of sampling.
