This Decree enters into force on 1 January 2013.
Abstract

This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, which is composed of ten articles and four Annexes, implements the relevant European Union regulations and lays down the competence of persons involved in the slaughter of animals (art. 2 and 3), requirements for stunning animals other than fur animals (art. 4) and application for permission to slaughter animals for religious purposes (art. 5). Annex 4 contains drawings and descriptions of specified locations on the head of cattle, swine, sheep and goats and horses for stunning purposes.
