This text entered into force eight days after publication in the Official Gazette (published on 28 July 2021) and it shall start applying on 1 January 2022.
Abstract

This Decree, based on the provisions of the Law on waste management of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, determines the method of distribution and investment of collected fees for special categories of waste and conditions for the allocation of funds for reuse, processing and return of components from waste recycling for: 1. tires; 2. accumulators and batteries; 3. oils; 4. vehicles. These fees shall be are paid to the Fund for environmental protection of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Fund will be distributed between the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the cantons in the ratio of 30% vs 70%, where the Fund means 30% and the cantonal protection fund 70%, and if they are not established cantonal environmental protection funds, the funds will be allocated directly to cantonal budgets.
