Abstract

This Decree defines base-points for purposes of implementation of the Act on the Delimitation of the Territorial Waters of Finland. The base points of the outer limits of the internal waters, referred to in section 4, subsection 1, of the Act, the degrees of latitude and longitude of which are given in the Finnish National Coordinate System, shall be during the thirty-year period 1995-2024 are specified in article 1. The location of the outer limits of Finland's territorial sea is indicated by points that are connected either by the line of the shortest distance or by the arc of a circle with a given centre and radius. The Finnish Maritime Administration shall ensure that information on the location of the base points and of the outer limits of the territorial sea be publicly available.
