Abstract This Decree of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic, which is composed of ten articles and four Annexes, lays down details on requirements for nuclear safety of nuclear installations. Requirements for the nuclear safety of nuclear installations must be met in stages of their design, construction, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning phase of the repository closure. The part of requirements for nuclear safety of nuclear installations are criteria for categorization of classified equipment into safety classes (specified in Annex 1). This Decree also provides details on the scope, content and impact of changes, details on evaluating, documenting, scale feedback, scope and content of the probabilistic safety assessment of nuclear and details on the monitored variables and parameters of nuclear safety.
