Abstract This Decree, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on radiological and nuclear safety, regulates the response to an emergency that may occur in activities with ionizing radiation sources, nuclear and radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel waste management activities and work activities, as well as ionizing radiation protection measures taken as part of the response in the event of an effective emergency. This text transposes the provisions of the Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom laying down basic safety standards for protection against the dangers arising from exposure to ionising radiation, and repealing Directives 89/618/Euratom, 90/641/Euratom, 96/29/Euratom, 97/43/Euratom and 2003/122/Euratom; and Council Directive 2014/87/Euratom amending Directive 2009/71/Euratom establishing a Community framework for the nuclear safety of nuclear installations.
