This text entered into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette (published on 30 July 2021).
Abstract

The Decree, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on air protection, prescribes the necessary limit values for the content of volatile organic compounds in certain paints and varnishes used in construction and vehicle finishing products that may be placed on the market or available on the market, the method of determining and monitoring product quality, the method of proving conformity, the name and product labeling, manner and deadline for submission of product quality reports to the state administration body responsible for environmental protection. This Decree further transposes into the national legislation, the contents of the Directive 2004/42/CE of the European Parliament and of the Council on the limitation of emissions of volatile organic compounds due to the use of organic solvents in certain paints and varnishes and vehicle refinishing products and amending Directive 1999/13/EC.
