Abstract

The present Decree establishes the regulatory framework concerning the production of foodstuffs. In particular, it lays down hygienic and sanitary conditions to be fulfilled by food products as well as establishments engaged in the production and processing of foodstuffs. Moreover, it sets out general principles governing inspection. The Decree is composed of the following Titles: (I) General provisions; (II) Foodstuffs; (III) Marketing, importation and exportation of food products; (IV) Establishments and installations; (V) Transportation; (VI) Personnel; (VII) Checks and inspection; (VIII) Sampling and analysis; (IX) Authorization; (X) Offences and penalties; (XI) Sanctioning procedure; (XII) Competences.
