Abstract This Decree specifies the indications that must be shown on the labelling of virgin olive oil and extra virgin olive oil, so as to ensure traceability of such products. To guarantee compliance with these provisions, checks shall be carried out by the Central Inspectorate for the Control of Agricultural Products and Foodstuffs. In case of infringement, the penalties set out in article 18, paragraph 2 of Legislative Decree No. 109 of 1992 shall be applied.
