Abstract This Decree prescribes limit values and target values for individual air pollutants, long-term targets and target values for ground-level ozone in the air, and depending on the properties of the pollutant, prescribes upper and lower assessment thresholds, target values, average exposure indicator for particulate matter, target exposure reduction at national level, exposure concentration, critical levels, alert threshold, notification threshold and specific human health measures to be taken when they occur, and deadlines for gradual reduction tolerance limits and to achieve target values for ground-level ozone. This text further determines limit values for the protection of human health, quality of life (odor contamination), protection of vegetation and ecosystems, distribution and number of measuring points on which the average exposure indicator are adequately reflecting the general exposure of the population.
