Abstract With this Decree, consisting of six articles and two attached appendices, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries defines waters in the Southern coastal area of Bantul, as a conservation area, provides for its management as a water park and therefore establishes six different zones, detailed and defined in the attached appendices, with limited uses. This Ministerial Decree is made in order to protect, preserve and profit of marine biodiversity, such as turtle habitat and considering that the attractiveness of natural phenomena of the waters in the Southern coastal region of Bantul, special region of Yogyakarta are a great opportunity to support the development of marine tourism.
