This Decree enters into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Decree consisting of 5 articles provides for the food additives admitted to be used in food industry. The Decree gives the Definitions in a first part, while in a second part lists the different food groups, indicating name and number of each food group. 3 Annexes constitute the core of the Decree: Annex 1 indicates the list of food additives approved to be used in food or food groups according to the concentrations specified in Annex 2 and in compliance with the specified concentrations permitted in Annex 3; Annex 2 lists food groups or food groups that allow the use of additives in the percentage indicated; and Annex 3 gives the list of food additives authorized for use in food groups or food in general in compliance with the Good manufacturing practices (GMP). The Annexes shall be periodically updated depending on the updates of Codex Alimentarius and industry requirements.
