Abstract

Indonesian companies that are holders of a forest concession granted by the Ministry of Forests shall be required to sell at least five percent of their production of sawn and other processed timber for regional development and community purposes. "Regional development and community purposes" shall be projects of public interest such as the construction of houses, public buildings, buildings for social and religious purposes, etc. The Forestry Service at regional level shall supervise and control the sale of timber in accordance with the present Decree. The forest concessionaire shall report of sale to the Forestry service in accordance with article 5. Article 6 prescribes sanctions if obligations under this Decree are not fulfilled. (9 articles)
