This Decree specifies import licences granted to Indonesian companies. These companies may realise those imports subject to rules set out in the present Decree. Used vessels may sail to an Indonesian port for preliminary inspection or such inspection may be carried out abroad. New vessels shall be subject to preliminary inspection in the country of construction. After approval of procurement, the Indonesian flag shall be assigned and provisional certificates be issued. Before expiry of the provisional certificate, the vessel shall be docked for first inspection by marine inspectors and measuring experts of the Directorate General of Sea Communication. Owners shall report on all accessories and equipment of the vessel imported. Full text English
