In special cases, the state hunting inspection may authorize hunting on reserves. Injured and sick hoofed animals shall be hunted year round in accordance with hunting authorizations issued by the state hunting inspectorate. Hunting shall be planned based on the number of animals necessary to maintain the existing population. A greater number of hoofed wild animals may be hunted in areas where they cause damage agriculture or forestry resources than in other areas. Hunting permits (licences) shall be issued free of charge to sparsely distributed indigenous communities of the North and to the hunting associations that repopulate hunting reserves at their own expense.
