Abstract This Decree creates the National Park of Orango Islands. It consists of 21 articles and a technical schedule concerning biological aspects of the aforementioned protected area. It establishes objectives to be met in order to preserve the ecosystem, to safeguard endangered animals and migratory species, etc. according to the economic needs of native people and environmental impact assessment. It also defines 3 parts: (1) environmental preservation area; (2) middle area; (3) durable development area. It lays down the limits of these protected areas, listing authorized activities to be performed in compliance with the Regulation in force. Full text Portuguese
