Abstract This Decree consisting of 15 articles aims at organizing the rules to import potato seeds. It establishes: countries allowed to export to Lebanon; import period (from January 1 to February 10); permitted varieties; sizes; kinds (Elite and Super Elite); necessary certification, including phytosanitary certificate; allowed point of entries; transport and packaging measures; inspections. General conditions to import potato tubers are specified in article 5 regarding package weight; characteristics of the bags; labeling; appearance of tubers; allowed pesticides.
