These Provisions entered into force on 1 March 2009.
Abstract

These Provisions aim at improving and regulating the examination and approval of environmental impact assessment documents of construction projects and establishing the examination and approval power and responsibilities. The Text consists of 11 Articles. Environmental protection departments at all levels shall be responsible for the examination and approval of environmental impact assessment documents of construction projects. The examination and approval power of environmental impact assessment documents of construction projects shall be graded and determined by the nature and magnificence of their impact on the environment.
