Abstract This Decree, consisting of 101 articles divided into 14 Chapters, regulates the Animal Sanitary Protection within the State of Pará. It establishes that is under the responsibility of the Agricultural Protection Agency of Pará (ADEPARÁ) to plan, implement, coordinate, articulate with other sectors, evaluate and supervise Animal Sanitary Protection policies in the State of Pará, through general and special programmes for animal, animal by-products of animal origin, as well as the marketing of veterinary products and livestock inputs, and other activities assigned to it, aiming at the promotion and protection of animal health, environmental protection and public health.
