Abstract

This Decree creates the Centre for Livestock Development (CDP "Centro de Desenvolvimento Pecuário") by approving its constitution. CDP is a technical and scientific institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Rural Development whose competencies include supporting the development of national livestock; promoting improvements of national livestock through genetic amelioration of sheep and herd species, promoting new techniques of rational exploitation; management and feeding processes. This Decree is divided into 5 chapters as follows: General provisions (1); Duties (2); Organization and competencies (3); Financial management (4); Personnel (5).
