Abstract

This Decree establishes the modalities of supervision and control by the State Committee on Standardization and Metrology and by the federal standardization, metrology and certification bodies subordinated thereto over the compliance of legal persons and individual entrepreneurs with compulsory standards, hygiene and sanitary requirements set for quality and safety of produce and services. In particular it shall be applicable to food quality control and food safety standards and requirements for the purpose of ensuring food safety of the consumers. The purpose of state supervision and control shall be to prevent damages to human health and environment as a result of violation of technological norms and processes. In the process of supervision and control shall be inspected: (a) availability of documentation attesting compliance of produce with compulsory requirements; (b) conformity of produce with certification; and (c) correctness of marking of produce with conformity mark. Annex 1 contains the form of authorization for carrying out supervision and control of compliance of state standards.
