Abstract This Decree, consisting of 12 articles, provides for the Development Committee of the Brazilian Nuclear Programme. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Development Committee as an advisory body to the President of the Republic aimed to establish guidelines and targets for the development of the Brazilian Nuclear Programme and supervising its execution. It is under the responsibility of the Development Committee to perform the following activities: formulate public policies related to the nuclear sector; propose improvements to the Brazilian Nuclear Programme; and supervise the planning and execution of joint actions of agencies and entities related to the development of the Brazilian Nuclear Programme.
