Decree No. 9.158 regulating the extension of the concessions and the authorizations for hydroelectric energy generation covered by Law No. 12.783 on electric energy.

This Decree, consisting of 9 articles, regulates the extension of the concessions and the authorizations of generation of hydroelectric energy covered by Law No. 12.783 on concessions for production, transmission and supply of electric energy. It specifies concessions and authorization to exploit hydraulic potential with an installed capacity of more than 5,000 kW and less than or equal to 50,000 kW that have not been previously extended. It also applies to: grants for the use of hydraulic potential destined to self-production of electric energy whose enterprise is in operation and not connected to the National Interconnected System (SIN), regardless of the power of the plant.
