Abstract These Regulations make further provision for the application for plant breeders' right, registration, publication of the registration, review of applications and the final registration of plant breeders' rights. Section 1 outlines the contents of the application form. The local Plant Breeders' Rights Board shall enter the application into the register in accordance with provisions of section 2. Sections 3 to 5 concern the publication of applications and a proposal to change the variety name. Section 7 deals with the review of applications and section 8 with the registration of a new plant variety. Section 10 concerns the registration of a right of priority and section 13 regulates the notification of the plant breeders' right to the proprietor. Finally, section 14 provides for publication and the issuance of the registration number.
