The scope of the Centre shall be protection of the rights and interests of the consumers. The Centre shall perform supervisory functions in the sphere of quality and safety of the commodities for the consumers. The officials of the Centre shall be granted the right to perform inspection of trading and storage premises and facilities without any special authorization, draw reports on identified and exposed violations of the applicable rules and regulations and apply administrative proceedings to the offenders.
