This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Decree amends the Amazon Fund established by the National Bank for Economic and Social Development - BNDES. Amended articles authorize to allocate the amount of donations received in kind, appropriate in a specific account called Amazonas Fund, for the realization of non-reimbursable investments in prevention, monitoring and combating deforestation and promoting conservation and sustainable use of the Amazon areas. It includes the following areas: economic activities developed from the sustainable use of vegetation. Measures taken must observe the guidelines of the Prevention and Control of Deforestation Plan in Legal Amazonas - PPCDAM, except for the provisions of § 1 of the National Strategy for Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions originated from Deforestation and Forest degradation, conservation of forestry carbon stocks, sustainable management of forests and increasing forestry carbon stocks - ENREDD +.
