This Decree enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Decree establishes the modalities of forest management in the areas of radioactive pollution by Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Forest management requirements shall be mandatory for legal persons performing forest management in areas subject to radioactive pollution. Timber extraction of timber containing radionuclides exceeding established levels shall be prohibited. Forest stock, subject to radioactive pollution, in according with zoning shall be classified in four areas in accordance with radioactive pollution levels. In areas of radioactive pollution shall be imposed forest management restrictions with a view of prevention of procurement of forest products containing cesium-137 exceeding allowable levels. In areas subject to radioactive pollution shall be performed constant radiation monitoring.
