Abstract This Decree regulates Brazilian National Parks. It consists of 57 articles and 1 appendix establishing the requirements to be met by every different protected area and prohibiting every activity interfering with natural ecosystems' preservation. This Decree also concerns sanitary and other measures in order to protect animal health and habitats and establishes that national parks shall be regulated by IBDF, Brazilian Institute for Forestry Development. It prescribes legal proceedings and sanctions to be paid by offenders. National Parks are listed in appendix.
