Abstract This Decree, consisting of 17 Chapters, regulates Law No. 771 on State Policy on Forestry sector within the State of Tocantins. It defines existing forests and other plants within the territory of the State, recognized as useful for the environment and establishes that these forests are owned by all the local inhabitants, observing the ownership right with the limitations established by enforced legislation.
