The annexed Regulation is composed of 121 articles divided ten Chapters. It regulates the epidemiological control of animal diseases in Mozambique with the aim of protecting public health as well as livestock exports’ market. The Regulation identifies the competent authorities and rules on conditions and requirements for import, transport and circulation of livestock and derived products. Moreover, it regulates certification procedures, animal health measures and management of diseases. Finally, it regulates control measures for products of animal origin and wildlife animals. Particular attention is paid to the regulation of communication requirements and to the definition of applicable penalties.
