This Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Decree, consisting of 49 articles divided into 7 Chapters, regulates Law No. 12.815 on exploitation of harbours, port infrastructures and related activities. The issuing of authorizations and concessions will be under the competence of the Secretariat of Harbours within the Presidency of the Republic, who will be responsible: to design the general plan for National harbours; to regulate the administrative and legal requirements of development plans; to define baselines for regulating the exploitation of harbours; to approve the investments for concession or leasing contracts, previously analysed by Antaq; to carry out research on technical, economic and environmental feasibility; etc.
