Abstract

This Decree establishes criteria for hygienic safety of polymer materials used for potable water supply: (a) reagents added to potable water in the process of water treatment; (b) equipment and construction materials used for potable water supply systems; (c) ion exchange resins, membranes and sorbent agents; and (d) new water treatment technologies. Polymer materials shall comply with the following hygienic safety requirements: (a) organoleptic indices of water extract obtained from polymer materials; (b) absence of chemical emissions to water; and (c) polymer materials must not simulate growth and propagation of microbial flora in water.
