Abstract

This Decree requires entities importing, manufacturing or trading in food additives to: (a) ensure the quality and safety of food additives in compliance with standards and technical requirements; (b) use exclusively registered raw materials in the process of the manufacturing of food additives; (c) submit data attesting to the absence of narcotic, virulent, psychotropic, dope or toxic substances in food additives in the process of registration thereof; (d) make amendments in the technical specifications and certificates for state registration of food additives when replacing raw materials and ingredients used for manufacturing food additives; (e) prevent the use of misleading information on packaging; and (f) put on labels only information authorized for use in the process of state registration.
