Abstract This Decree approves the Regulation of the Development Fund for Amazonia (FDA), created by Provisional Measure No. 2.157-5 of 24 August 2001. This Regulation (attached to the Annex) and consisting of 13 Chapters and 4 Appendixes, is a financial management tool and establishes the requirements to be satisfied in order to benefit from such fund, aiming at: guaranteeing investment resources within the working area of the Superintendency for the Development of Amazonia (SUDAM). Financial fund may be used for public infrastructures, services and productive activities with a great capacity of creating new business and productive activities.
