This Decree enters into force on the date of publication.
Abstract

This Decree creates the National Soil Conservation Programme (P.N.C.S.) under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture. This Programme with aims at promoting, throughout the national territory, the adoption of soil conservation practices, thus understood as the maintenance and improvement of its productive capacity. Until the studies are completed to determine the regions referred to in article 1 of Law No. 6.225 of 14 July 1975, the areas with manifest occurrence of the phenomenon are declared priority for the implementation of the Programme. The priority established in this article does not exclude future discrimination, or its annual renewal, or any changes whose prioritization may be deemed necessary to the Programme, in accordance with the provisions of article 1 of Law No. 6.225.
